The total available office space in Klang Valley exceeds that of Bangkok, Singapore and Jakarta.
The office space had grown from 1998 at the average of rate of 3.62 mil sq ft per annum. The taken rate is about 1.5 sq ft. However the statistics may not very accurate, as the tendency is, the tenants move from old buildings to occupy the new ones, leaving the older offices empty.
The worst may yet to come. The government is announcing more Mega projects. Among them are the Tun Razak Exchange, KL Metroplis, Pudu Jail development and Bandar Malaysia in Sungai Besi.
The stats given by the star newspaper. It shows the lowers occupancy rate is Subang Jaya at 69% and the highest is 91% for Shah Alam.
