a. Register with an approved agent..
This is to avoid getting conned. Be careful to avoid unregistered agents. There are plenty of these, though their fees may be lower, but they may not be knowledgeable and you are not protected. It is a good idea to engage only one consultant.
b. The Publicize your sale.
This is to let the potential buyers know that you intend to sell your house. There many ways you can advertise, some are paid ads and some are free. It is always a good idea to put a "SALE" sign in your front gate.
There are instances when the seller or buyer would like to keep the intention to sell as private. In the instances that the seller has a financial difficulties, he would not like his neighbour know about it.
c. Do the final touch up.
It make sense to show the best image of the property. A thorough clean up and a bit of touch up may make the difference to the potential buyer's decision whether to purchase the property or not.
